Connie has directed the Mt. Zion choir for the past 8 years. She has been singing all her life and studied voice with Shirley Stewart Garrett, formerly of Honea Path.
As a member of Daughters of the Nile (a women’s organization associated with Shriner’s Hospitals), Connie formed the first choral unit for the Greenville chapter and has directed the Melody Makers chorus for the last 20 years. With the organization, she had the opportunity to sing in Las Vegas, NV, Fort Worth, TX and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Connie shared, “At Mt Zion, I am blessed to work with an amazing group of vocalists who love music, but I could not lead the Mt. Zion choir without the support and assistance of Michael Fleming. He has taught me so much.”
In addition to her musical activities, Connie works part time at Sandy Springs Family Practice and with the Clemson University Athletic Department with Parking Control at all home football games.
